Bonjour! And welcome to the wonderful shores of Island Fever Events. We are an event & wedding planning company which focusses on creating the most exquisite experiences.
As we sail into what is set to be a bumper season of weddings and events (hooray!), we thought we’d ruffle our feathers and tell you a little about us and what we do.
Our voyage commenced in 2018 with Island Fever being born out of a passion for all things celebratory. Fusing together an eye for detail, design, organisation and story telling we wanted to harness these qualities and start providing professional, exceptional experiences through our event & wedding planning company.
In that time, we have successfully organised multiple events and weddings from 15 – 550 guests, and in 2020 introduced “The Collection” to our list of services.
Keeping our trusty monocle scanning the latest wedding trends, the collection features an array of styling items that we have carefully sourced to give your occasion that WOW factor. Oh, and take note of that word monocle – it will be making an appearance very soon.
Whilst we LOVE a good party (what wedding & event planner doesn’t) we enjoy nothing more than helping our clients create once in a lifetime occasions which not only, elevates their vision, but also captures their personalities. There is something quite fantastic about being a part of something significant, which you know your clients will remember for the rest of their lives – experiences which evoke such joy, laughter and emotion.
On that note, we bet your reading this as your considering something special! Behind every brilliant bash, there’s a brain – so how can we help? Below we have listed a brief four step summary, into how we become part of your event or wedding planning process:
1) Let’s get the wheels in motion! We listen to your vision.
It all starts with a conversation. Either pick up the phone or send us an email and we will start discussing the framework of your celebration and address the where, when, who, how and budget. Once you have those big questions answered, the planning can begin! All prospective clients receive a free consultation, whether that be in person or virtually.
Want to know the essential ingredient in making your wedding stand out? YOU. Individuality is key – no one likes a ‘copy and paste’ – this is your story, your time to shine. The most memorable weddings reflect the couple’s personalities from start to finish and it is our job to make it happen.
2) Our bespoke proposal to you.
Once we have discussed with you what event or wedding planning service you are after, a detailed proposal will be developed to give you a flavour of what Island Fever can achieve. Our proposal will include a mood board, styling concepts for your consideration, venue options, supplier suggestions, along with an approximate budget for your event. When you decide on Island Fever as your planner, an initial timeline, deposit schedule and detailed budget will be issued.
Top tip! Decide what is important to you and set priorities before you arbitrarily assign numbers. Compromise and consider what are the two (or three) things that are most important to you.
Planning is an ever-evolving process. If you choose to invest heavily on your stunning wedding venue for example, this in in turn going to have a knock on effect on other areas, like catering, decor, entertainment etc. The trick is to find the happy medium whereby you have prioritised your “non-negotiables” and compromised on areas that you feel aren’t as important (or may not be necessary.)
3) The fun starts! Concept creation.
It’s time to dive into the details and start developing the concept of the celebration. This can be in the form of overseeing your budget, conducting site visits, providing inspiration, ideas and finessing the schedule.
However, also consider us your personal event PA – We not only act as a liaison between you and the dozens of suppliers contracted to your event team, but we alleviate all the organisational stress.
4) The day has arrived! Let the celebrations commence.
You’ve been dreaming of this moment for the majority of your life, so the last thing you should be focussing on is sweating over the logistics come the morning of your wedding day. Expect a seamless event with impeccable standards throughout.
All bases are covered, everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet. So, let the champagne flutes clink, the confetti cascade and the cake be cut … its going to be one amazing party!
